In 2021 I felt like I need to take shelter of a bonafide guru in order to progress in Krsna consciousness. A senior devotee friend of mine told me about gurudev srila dharmavira das prabhu, who was empowering people to chant 64 rounds. I was excited but I had a fearsome agitated attitude which held me back to approach him at that time, because I was not sure if I would be able to keep up with his standard of practices.

Then in 2022 May, I again felt like I should take shelter of a guru. Then, the senior devotee friend asked me to contact an other devotee who was disciple of Srila dharmavira prabhu.

After that, I received the blessings and like other souls I was also able to chant 64 rounds in sometime. In June 2022 I visited guruji as he was conducting a training camp in radhakund. So, fast forward after couple of days gurujii offered me to stay with him in his newly built harinaam centre along with him as long as I want to.

I was agitated, fearful but was staying with guruji. Many emotions were running down my heart. But, guruji came to the rescue. From day 1 he like a father looked after me. He was strict in his practices, no compromise, but for me he never forced to wake up early, and all the other habits like taking a cold shower, eating one meal a day. He, knew my adhikaar (qualification) . A real guru can penetrate into hearts of other living beings. So, he gave me ample amount of time and slowly I also started to follow his timetable.

I always had a fearful attitude, guruji kind of removed it. He always said me don’t worry, future is beyond your control. He always had a positive view for every situation. For example: I was overly fearful of offenses, but guruji said offenses are inevitable if you want to progress in this path (it doesn’t mean that we knowingly commit offenses) and slowly slowly you learn and through the mercy of guru and Krsna you get rid of them. He always insisted me to be positive and don’t worry about future.

When you are in the harinaam centre he always comes smiling to you and peacefully asks how’s the chanting going? And when we say it’s going good, he used to smile while raising his both arms. Even once he was having a very important discussion with the builders in a room. And as soon as I entered the room he asked me how’s the chanting going? When I said I felt it’s not good. He immediately got up and said me to come out of the room and he had a chat with me. He was genuinely worried. So, this shows how much efforts he was putting on a single fallen soul like me.

When I was with guruji chanting was very easy. Once I told him that “guruji I’m not able to chant 1 round in 3min” he said don’t worry it will happen by itself. And next moment I was chanting in 3 min. I thought it was coincidence. But, till today I’m able to chant in 3 min.

When you visit Radhakund you also meet his family. In the beginning when I was agitated his family members guru mataji and his sons made me feel comfortable there. Guru mata and his sons used to prepare prasadam for thakurji and then we used to have it. Guruji’s family would accompany me while having prasadam so that I don’t feel alone. Not only to me but every disciple of guruji who visited there had the same experience.

Guruji always insisted us to chant 64 rounds or more according to our own ability.

So, please I request sincere Sadhakas, don’t worry and once approach guruji and experience the difference yourself.

I was at Radha Kunda for the last one week with Srila Dharmavir Prabhuji and chanting was never this easy. The holy name was flowing out of my mouth like a river. Never did I experience so ease in chanting. I could chant how many rounds I wished to chant. Also experienced ecstasy during chanting many times. The concentration levels were very high.

My name is Vrindavan das. I officially joined Iskcon in Durban in 1993  just after High School. I was a co-founder and Temple President of Iskcon Pretoria, which is the Capital of  South Africa. I first met Dharmavira Prabhu at the Chatsworth Temple in 1994. Later when I became Temple President of Iskcon Pretoria,  my co-President and I requested him to help us with our books since he was an Accountant.  Being inspired by him, we begged Dharmavira prabhu to join us full-time and live with us. This was in 2001. We found him to be a very practical person and benefited much from his managerial advice and spiritual guidance.

Dharmavira Prabhu personally encouraged me to cut out all sense gratification in my life beginning with satisfying the demands of the tongue. He explained that  should eat simply and he immediately  put me on a saltless diet of kitchri. I followed this prescription and  experienced tremendous results in achieving sense control. At that time I found that by controlling the senses I could see things in proper perspective. In this way he tried to encourage me to become a master of my senses rather than their servant. He especially advised me to restrict my dealings with female members. When I began to render service to him I immediately began to experience so much taste in my chanting and my practice of Krishna consciousness was given a new life.

In 2015,  Dharmavira Prabhu returned from Radhakund for a short visit to South Africa. When I met him he advised me to begin chanting 100,000 names or 64 rounds of the Hare Krishna Mahamantra. He explained that this was the desire of Guaranga Mahaprabhu for all His followers. I thus began to chant 64 rounds on a regular basis and had many realizations which are too numerous to mention here. A few months ago Dharmavira Prabhu again returned from his home in Radhakund. He contacted me and asked  if I was interested in being empowered to chant 300,000 Names of the Mahamantra. He said this would be a three week long retreat. Although my mind was in doubt how  I would be able to do that, I immediately agreed. He then gave me the following terms and conditions:

I would have to wake up daily at 1 am in the morning, No cell phones were allowed, Only one meal would be provided. I then went up to Johannesburg and was fully absorbed in chanting for three weeks. I experienced incredible taste and many realizations in Dharmavira Prabhu’s association. Many possibilities opened up for me spiritually. He had made the ‘impossible ‘ possible. I had always been taught in Iskcon that I’m not Haridas Thakur or Srila Raghunath das Goswani. However  Dharmavira Prabhu explained that I’m a pure soul just like them and therefore had the same potential as them. The only difference is that I’m currently covered by the curtain of illusion. He clarified that I must not imitate them, but follow their footsteps.

In this way I directly experienced the Srimad Bhagavatam verse 3.25.25:

“In the association of pure devotees, the recitation and discussion of my glorious activities and pastimes become a rejuvenating elixir for the heart and the ears. By the regular hearing and contemplation of such topics one quickly becomes liberated and free from ignorance. He then progressively attains faith, attraction and love for Me. “

My name is Ganga Devi Dasi and today I am submitting my testimony as how I started chanting 64 rounds.

From childhood by seeing my parents as my mother used to chant, I learned chanting and I used to do chanting on beads. Slowly, slowly as I joined ISKCON my interest increased. When I heard that Sriman Mahaprabhu does not accept offering from those who don’t chant 64 rounds, then I thought maybe I will be able to chant 64 rounds one day. I used to think it’s impossible to chant 64, even if someone asked me; I used to think this is impossible. By staying in Grihasta life chanting 64 rounds is very difficult. Whenever I used to offer obeisances to Srila Prabhupada I used to pray that may be I am able to chant 64 rounds and that day may come. I used to think that when I will settle at Vrindavan Dham at old age, then I will be able to chant 64 rounds. I used to daily pray to Srila Prabhupada that when I will be able to chant 64 rounds meaning 1 lac Harinama.

Then one time I saw in one WhatsApp group Madhavendra Puri das who has taken shelter of Guruji (Sri Dharmavira Prabhu). He wrote one day in group that whoever wants to sincerely chant 64 rounds should contact Guruji. I was doing 16 rounds and that too not properly, in that also half was in morning and remaining in evening, and I was not able to concentrate, so I thought let me give it a try to learn 64 rounds, no worries I will chant 32 rounds. Or at least maybe 16 rounds will be done properly, I might get useful tips. So I contacted him and he told me that I should contact His Holiness Dharmavira Maharaj, so I contacted him. At initial stage He was reluctant thinking maybe I am not serious about 64 rounds. He asked me few questions like what I do, and how I do and I was very much materially inclined so He thought that I am not serious so initially he just casually said ok you try chanting 64 rounds. So I tried 2-3 days and I thought it is impossible but I then contacted him again and again and I requested him and then He asked me some questions like He took test of me to understand my seriousness. Then He understood that there is some seriousness in me that I want to chant 64 rounds. So then He blessed me and He empowered me to chant 64 rounds. Initially I thought there is no importance of empowerment, I never realized but after His blessing and empowerment I don’t know how but miracle happened like a magic.

10 days before Karthik month I tried chanting 64 rounds, at the beginning I could chant 25-32 rounds and maximum I could go up to 40 rounds. Slowly I increased and within a 1 week I was able to chant 64 rounds. But then I thought this is temporary phase, then I thought no worries I will chant only in Karthik month, and afterwards I will see whether I can maintain or not. I was able to chant 64 rounds for entire Karthik month and I thought I will do it till I can manage, if not possible then I will quit. Later I contacted Him again and again and He gave me shiksha, He taught me how to do and guided me and empowered me further and due to Lord’s mercy I am able to chant minimum 64 rounds till date.

I used to think that being a grihastha it is impossible to chant 64 rounds but really due to His blessing and His empowerment not just 64, we can chant double and triple of that. It is not at all difficult and you just need strong willpower, you need guidance and you need empowerment and you need to follow a routine in life and we all can chant. I am not sharing all this to make a show, I am saying this with all my humility. I am saying as I am able to chant 64 and sometime more than that because you all an also chant. If a person like me who was so materially inclined can chant, then you all can chant 100%. You just need guidance and please receive blessings from Him and whoever is serious in bhakti, you all please take blessings from Sri Dharmavira Maharaj. Really I don’t know but what magic is there in His blessing and in His empowerment that you all be able to chant 64 rounds. If you are all serious then please contact Him and try to chant min 64 rounds daily. Guruji says we all can go to Sri Goloka in this very lifetime, it is not that difficult. You just need strong willpower and you need blessing of pure Vaishnava and His guidance.

We cannot call anyone a pure Vaishnava, but one who is realized, one who can bless, He is pure Vaishnava. And with His blessing you can go to Goloka, Guruji says we can go to Goloka in this very lifetime, it’s not like that you need many births. You just need blessing of pure self-realized soul and His shelter; by Sadhu sanga everything is possible, in this very life time you can go to Goloka.

You all chant 64 rounds, just like I am able to chant, you all can chant too.

Hare Kṛṣṇa! My name is Bhakta David. I found out about Śrīla Prabhupāda’s teachings at the end of 2008 from a YouTube video. I started following the 4 regulative principles and chanting 16 rounds. I went to study in India for 10 months and was a brahmacārī for over 5 years. I found out about Śrī Dharmavīra Prabhu’s in 2016, and continued reading about them in 2017, and finally joined the saṅga in 2018.

At that time, I was only chanting a few rounds a day, so with his blessings, and mercy, I was able to eventually chant 64 rounds. The method I used was to add 1 round per day, and maintain that, until reaching the goal, and maintain that consistently.

I encourage anyone who is serious about following Sril Prabhupāda, to read about Śrī Dharmavīra Prabhu’s teachings which are inline with sādhu, śāstra, and guru, to make their life perfect. Hare Kṛṣṇa!

My family is not supportive. Only thing I can tell is: It is true that only a true guru can guide us to the absolute truth. And show us the God and our relationship with God. For me chanting was very difficult even after practicing Krishna consciousness for 8 years. But whenever I chanted I didn’t feel that sweetness or the transcendental nectar of hari naam. It happened to me only after coming in contact with HG Dharmaveer Prabhuji. By his blessing Hari naam just started flowing without any hindrances. Thus understand that in this kaliyuga chanting and sankirtan is the only way to please or to love Krishna. Thank you for my siksha guru. For doing this selfless mercy upon we fallen devotees.

In 2015, by the mercy of Sri Krishna Caitanya I found out about Srila Dharamvir prabhu who lives in Radhakund. He recommended me to chant 64 rounds of Hare Krishna maha-mantra daily. I was already previously trying to do it, but could hardly reach 32 rounds and even that couldn’t last more than few days so I gave up. I told him of that and that I felt utterly unable to reach this goal of chanting 64 rounds daily and I asked for his blessings. He mercifully gave me his full blessings and from that very day I have been chanting 64 rounds every day without fail. I also thought it was impossible, but I simply wanted to chant, that’s all. Then mercy of Sri Guru and Gauranga came.

Dharmavira Prabhu was in South Africa about 18 month back and by some strange reason I, who was an ex-Iskcon devotee came by accident to Dharmavira’s home and met him there.

The first thing I asked was what Dharmavir prabhu was doing in Radhakund. When I heard that he was living there, he said that whenever he took bath in the morning he used to chant the names of Gangadevi and Yamunadevi and for some unknown reason he recently added the name of Radhakund to the above names so I was quite excited to know that Dharmavir prabhu was staying there. Dharmavira prabhu told me that he was getting people to chant minimum 64 rounds. I did not tell him anything but in my mind I admitted that I thought that Dharmavir prahbu was mad because most people struggle to chant 16 rounds.

The next day after meeting Dharmavir prabhu I chanted my 16 rounds but could not stop. So I chanted another 16 rounds, and still I could not stop. I was experiencing something like this: You eat one slice of bread and you say I want another then another. The chanting was like that. Since then I chants 64 rounds regularly. I also informed Dharmavira prabhu that my wife also chants 64 rounds after he told her that Gauranga Mahaprabhu would not eat her offering if she does not chant 64 rounds. Then I booked a flight to come to Vraja for thirty days with my wife and I am planning to settle in Radhakund.

I am Chandan Ritvik. I am currently a final year student in Indian Institue of Technology – IIT Kharagpur. I am from Computer Science department – CSE. In the 1st year of my college, I was preached about KC. I started staying in base/voice centre, just outside the campus of IIT, along with some other students. So, I have been practicing KC for 4 years till now (attending mangal aarati, chanting 16 rounds, etc). But, only about 7 months back, fortunately, I came into contact with Sri Dharmavira Prabhu. Previously also, I was trying to chant 32 rounds sometimes. But I could not do for many days. I stopped just after some time. But, again in the final year of my college, I wanted to start back my 32 rounds. But, it was getting very difficult – No faith, no taste. At that time I found Sri Dharmavira Prabhu’s website & YouTube channel. I became very inspired & contacted Prabhuji through WhatsApp. After a brief discussion, he gave me blessings for 64 rounds. From that day on, I started with 32 rounds. Within a matter of 1 month, I increased chanting to minimum 64 rounds. Now, I have been chanting 64 rounds continuously for 6 months, without any gap. Before meeting Sri Dharmavira Prabhu, I had a lot of theoretical knowledge but not much practical realizations. But by the blessings of Sri Dharmavira Prabhu & increased consistent chanting, realizations of bhakti started coming one-by-one. I felt that my spiritual life has actually begun. Just like Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu says in His Sikshastakam – vidya vadhu jivanam – This chanting is the life of all transcendental knowledge.

Pranaam to all Vaishnavas. My name is Devarishi Narad Das, from Samana, Punjab. First of all I would like to offer obeisances to my Guru Sri Dharmavira Das Prabhu.

I am fallen soul, I was faithful towards religion but I had nobody to guide me. I was not able to accept anyone as Guru. I used to think that in this material world I am everything and that is better, nothing I could see bonafide. But due to Lord’s mercy and due to association of Madhavendra Puri Das, I was fortunate to get to meet my Guru Sri Dharmavira Prabhu and from there my spiritual life started.

And then at Sri Radha Kund first time I ate khichdi prepared by Guru Mata (wife of Guru) and that taste still today lingers on my tongue. By seeing Guruji’s simple eating, simple lifestyle my life also started to change. Guruji blessed me to chant 16 rounds of Hare Krishna Mahamantra. Fallen soul like me who was not able to chant 1 or 2 rounds in a day but now was able to chant 16 rounds slowly. From my Guruji who is pure and self realized I was able to experience Paramatma’s divinity.

In due course of time I managed to succeed chanting 64 rounds i.e. 1 lac Harinama daily. This was possible only by receiving positive vibration and guidance from Guruji. By my Guru’s blessing now my wife Pooja also started chanting 16 rounds and my kids also chant with us for sometime.

Earlier in our house no food was prepared without onion and garlic, but now due to blessings from Guruji in our house onion and garlic is banned. I belong to business family and my business hours are from morning 9am to night 8pm but even with such busy schedule just due to blessing from Guru I am able to chant 64 rounds, 1 lac Harinama daily.
