How do we know that we are chanting the pure name of Sri Krishna?

The beginning stages your eyes will automatically wet up without any effort and stream of tears will flow. This is only the beginning stages. If you not experiencing this than your heart is hard as iron and can only be softened by continuous chanting harinam. Chanting harinam means chanting without offenses. Chanting without offenses means giving up the bodily concept like this is my body, these are my children, this is my father and mother etc. Then the pure name will manifest on your tongue. What was previously sadhana bhakti will become raganuga bhakti. This is spontaneous devotion and completely transcendental and by the mercy of pure devotee you can experience this.
